Marcus Currie is an experienced software engineer with a strong background in backend development. Currently working at Facebook, he specializes in messaging integrity. Prior to this, he worked as a full-stack software engineer in growth monetization at Evernote and as a physical design engineer at the United States Department of Defense. At the Department of Defense, Marcus was responsible for working as part of the backend design flow for HDL-based ASICs. He has experience working with IBM/ARM cell library for 45nm SOI process. He conducted analysis of chip planning, which includes floorplanning, power-ground planning, and I/O assignment. Additionally, Marcus created TCL scripts that automate various steps of the backend design flow which can be used to shorten design time of future ASICs. He satisfied timing constraints through layout optimizations for timing closure. Marcus holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
