Maria-Ines Carrera is a Technical Architect at Seesaw Learning, leading the Messaging team to rebuild a core product surface area on new backend and frontend stacks. With 9.70 years of relevant experience, Maria-Ines has a strong background in software engineering and tech leadership. In her previous role at Seesaw Learning, Maria-Ines served as a Software Engineer and Tech Lead, responsible for various projects including a new serverless backend stack using a NoSQL graph data model built on AWS Lambda and DynamoDB streams, a new React frontend stack and in-place migration from AngularJS, and a rewrite of their Creative Tools using React and HTML5 Canvas/Fabric.js. She also implemented new family connection flows for teachers, school-wide announcements, and back-to-school rostering support for their Schools customers. Maria-Ines holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (Theory) from Stanford University, where she studied from 2008 to 2012. She also pursued a degree in Mathematics at Oregon State University in 2017. Maria-Ines' technical expertise includes Senior Software Engineering, Frontend and Backend development, AWS, Javascript, NoSQL, and AngularJS.
