Mariam Fahmy is an ambitious and passionate undergraduate Computer Science Engineer with a keen interest in software development. She is currently working as a Software Engineer Intern at 360imaging, where she has implemented a QML-based reporting system for medical imaging software systems, built a C++ interface for generating PDFs from QML views, and solved severe bugs in the segmentation and planner softwares. Mariam is most comfortable with C/C++ for programming but is also flexible to work with any of the programming languages and learn new programming languages too. Mariam has participated in the ACM ECPC Egyptian Collegiate Programming Contest Qualifications 2020 and has a strong background in data structures and algorithms. She has also been a student of Season of KDE 2021 and completed it successfully with Plasma Discover. Mariam has worked as a Google Summer of Code Student Developer and Season of KDE Developer at KDE, where she created new games for GCompris, an educational software application, using C++, QML, and Javascript. She also added new features to the existing games and implemented a new backend for Discover, which supports doing system upgrades using rpm-ostree to support Fedora Kinoite upgrades, a KDE version of Fedora Silverblue, using C++ and rpm-ostree Qt D-Bus interface. Mariam is a versatile Software Engineer with a strong tech stack, including C, Javascript, and Backend development. She is always eager to learn and grow, and she is constantly seeking new challenges that allow her to leverage her skills and knowledge to deliver innovative solutions.
