Marie Cosgrove-Davies is an experienced Product Manager with over 18 years of relevant experience. Currently working as a Product Manager at Google Cloud, she is responsible for managing product development and ensuring that products meet customer needs and requirements. Before joining Google, Marie worked as a Staff Product Manager at Pivotal, Inc. where she managed multiple production platforms for internal and external customers. She successfully shifted ops teams from alert overload to alerting with few false positives and only on customer-facing issues. Marie also introduced engineering organizations to reliability practices through full-org presentations, one-on-one conversations, and team workshops. She developed and ran reliability workshops to walk teams through the process of identifying and describing Service Level Indicators and Service Level Objectives. Additionally, Marie guided engineering teams, advising on operability and observability, and advised customer operations teams on sustainable operations practices. Prior to Pivotal, Marie worked as a Product Manager at Opower where she designed and built a product health tracking tool to meet specific internal and external needs. She collaborated with engineers to identify the largest gaps and problems with existing systems and engaged the internal user base through surveys, in-depth one-on-one conversations, presentations, and Q&A/office hours sessions to ensure that the team's direction was understood and validated by organizational needs. Marie also identified and tracked success metrics for the team and formulated and socialized best practices for the team's products. She selected, implemented, and evangelized a new logging system (Splunk). Marie's tech stack includes product management.
