Mark Burnette is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in business, technical, and leadership roles. He is currently the Director of Solution Engineering at Acceldata, where he leads a world-class team of solution engineers to help organizations succeed with data. Mark brings a broad array of skills, including entrepreneurship, sales, and business development, to his role. In 1995, Mark founded Synergetic Consulting, Inc., a boutique consultancy providing end-to-end data and application solutions to complex business challenges. He built his own team and forged partnerships with dozens of clients, big and small, across diverse industries. Mark's passion for the Pentaho product led him to join the Pentaho organization, where he quickly became the #1 sales engineer worldwide in his first year. He then moved into a leadership role where he built a new team and exceeded targets. At Hitachi, Mark led a team focused on leveraging the broader Hitachi portfolio and partner ecosystem to bring new solutions to market. The team partnered with product and services management, marketing, sales enablement, and partner teams to go from concept to solution. The team worked with the field to pursue co-creation opportunities between Hitachi and its customers and partners. Mark holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Tufts University. He has a strong technical background and is proficient in machine learning and big data. Mark's relevant experience in the industry is 2.27 years. Acceldata, Mark's current company, brings operational intelligence (OI) to DataOps. They capture DataOps "sensor data" such as performance metrics, metadata, costing, and many others, and apply analytics to improve data operations. Acceldata provides predictive maintenance for data processing through trend analysis, simulation, and auto-remediation. They use machine learning to scale and improve data quality, as well as event correlation and financial analysis to align business and IT strategy. With a growing list of delighted customers, positive cash flow, and a boost of VC, Acceldata is moving fast, and Mark is excited to be leading a world-class team of solution engineers to help organizations succeed with data.
