Mark French is a technology leader and software engineer with over 17 years of experience in the industry. He specializes in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing elegant systems to represent the people and ideas that interact to make software something real and useful instead of dry and abstract. Currently, he serves as the Senior Manager - Engineering, Finance at SeatGeek, where he manages the complexity that inevitably arises as those systems grow and evolve over time. Mark's focus is in the back-end, particularly in areas of business logic modeling, ORM, authentication, security, and scalability. He is a builder who excels at communicating the big picture thinking that underpins these systems to help others make the pragmatic choices that are important for ensuring that the day-to-day decisions about how to solve small challenges fit into the larger context. Before joining SeatGeek, Mark worked as the Principal Product Architect at Payrix and CTO at Scryptoft. He has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Grinnell College, where he graduated in 2005. Mark is a senior software engineer with expertise in the backend and software engineering.
