Mark Hahn is a skilled Solutions Engineer at CircleCI, with a passion for leading technical implementation and management of CI/CD solutions to ensure early customer success and build long-term business relationships. With over 5 years of relevant experience, he has worked as a senior software engineer in Tokyo, specialising in Microservices with Golang, and has been part of a cross-functional and multi-cultural team as a trilingual. In addition to his professional experience, Mark has a strong academic background and has conducted research in psychometrics and statistical data analysis. He has also worked on UAV/UAS (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle/System). Mark has previously worked at Mercari, where he designed, implemented, and released new features for utilising metadata/recommendation to the Home Microservice of Mercari App. He has also developed a new microservice to provide a new way of transaction for both buyers and sellers with a cross-functional team with multiple stakeholders. Mark has improved the resiliency of Microservices by preventing cascading failures from their dependencies and has given several presentations related to security issues and tech topics for agile squad teams. He has worked with the security team to revive the Security Champion Programme that aims for core engineers. Mark has also mentored senior engineers joined the company by organising 1on1s, writing/improving documents, and sharing domain knowledge. Mark holds a Master of Engineering degree in Transdisciplinary Science and Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology and is currently pursuing a Certificate Programme in Management of Technology from the same institution. He has a strong tech stack that includes Microservices, Software Engineering, Golang, CI/CD, GCP, and Backend. Mark is a dedicated and hardworking individual with a passion for continuous learning and development.
