Mark Marcelo is a highly skilled lead software engineer with over 13 years of experience in leadership roles, specializing in large-scale, consumer-facing, accessible software. Currently working for Disney Streaming as a Lead Software Engineer, he is responsible for the primary engineering lead for technology unification between Hulu, Disney+, Star+, and ESPN+ subscriber web applications. Mark has a strong product-focused approach and has contributed to the development of several high-profile applications, including Hulu, Disney+, and Star+ subscriber applications. He is an open-source contributor and has founded GitHub No. 1 Top Trending open-source software with over 10k stars. Mark has authored the schema and technical specifications for Disney Streaming’s subscriber GraphQL API and led the creation of a static, atomic CSS style system to unify Hulu and Disney brands, improve application performance, and unblock component reuse and extensibility.
