Mars Wong is an accomplished Augmented Reality Designer with over 5 years of experience in the field. Currently working at Microsoft, Mars has deployed Awavena and spoke on a panel regarding the piece, sharing insights on how the industry can improve developer-director relations and workflow. Mars has previously worked at Digital Giant as a Unity Developer, where he developed systems to import manufacturing CAD files into Unity and designed tools that helped streamline QA, LookDev, and the client review process. He also worked on pixel streaming solutions for offsite rendering in the cloud. At The Mill, Mars was a Junior Developer where he developed bespoke applications for the Magic Leap and Microsoft Hololens. He created a virtual production pipeline for The Mill's motion capture stage using Unreal and managed a team of modelers and texture artists at their offices in Bangalore, India. Some of the clients he worked with included Walmart, Madison Square Garden, Petersen Automotive Museum, Cashmere Cat, Netflix, and Warner Bros. Mars has a Bachelor of Arts in Interactive Entertainment from the University of Southern California, where he specialized in the Interactive Media and Games Division, School of Cinematic Art. He also attended Saint Ann's for his secondary education. Mars is skilled in designing and developing mobile applications and has expertise in QA and Javascript.
