Marshall Grinstead is a highly skilled and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer with a passion for rapid prototyping and mechanical product design. With over 12 years of relevant experience, Marshall has worked with some of the biggest names in the tech industry, including Magic Leap and Intel. At his current role at Athelas, Marshall is responsible for leading the mechanical engineering team and overseeing the design and development of innovative products. He is a master of rapid prototyping and is known for his ability to bring ideas to life quickly and efficiently. Prior to joining Athelas, Marshall worked as a Lead Mechanical Engineer at Magic Leap, where he was responsible for performing mechanical and manufacturing design on the company's consumer products. He is highly skilled in working with a range of materials, including plastic, metal, glass, and composites. Marshall's experience at Intel was equally impressive, where he worked on several iconic smartphone and tablet projects as part of the mechanical team. He was responsible for designing and testing parts through all phases of the design process, from brainstorming to high-volume overseas manufacturing. Marshall's talent at using PTC Creo 2 (ProEngineer) earned him recognition at Intel. Marshall holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Geophysics from Caltech, where he completed several formal and informal training classes to improve his skills, especially in CAD. He is a product designer at heart and is always looking for new and innovative ways to bring his ideas to life.
