Martin Bello is a retired individual who is currently engaged in exploring the limits of human knowledge and the conditions for human flourishing. Martin's research interests are diverse, ranging from state-of-the-art machine learning and computational machine vision applications to interdisciplinary research related to functional MRI image processing and computational neuroscience. He is also interested in basic physics, bioinformatics and computational genomics, modern forms of psychotherapy, mathematics and algorithms associated with cryptocurrencies, and quantum computing in theory and practice. Martin has extensive experience in both machine learning and computer vision, as highlighted in a presentation given at Elsevier Laboratories. Currently, Martin is working as a Lead Universalist at Multiverse Associates, where he studies basic physics, including general relativity, quantum theory, and quantum field theory. Martin's past work experience includes working as a Senior Data Scientist at FirstFuel Software, where he worked on proprietary data analysis systems for identifying savings opportunities associated with the consumption of energy in buildings. He has also worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at Parietal Systems, where he formulated, implemented, and evaluated prototype algorithms for military intelligence analysis and surveillance-related applications. Martin holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from MIT, where he studied Spatial Data Assimilation Estimation Problems. He also holds an MS in Electrical Engineering from MIT and a Bachelor of Science in EE from Cornell University.
