He is currently working as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Rivian, where he has been instrumental in developing and maintaining data pipelines to fulfill the requirements of multiple groups within the organization. Martin has a demonstrated history of working in the software industry, with a focus on microservices, Redis, Kubernetes, ETL, and infrastructure. Prior to his current role at Rivian, Martin worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Turo, where he was responsible for scaling the Turo application and splitting parts of the monolith into microservices. He also migrated the single solr instance in Turo solrCloud and worked on improving the infrastructure by moving Kubernetes clusters to sub-accounts, adding new-relic monitoring to various microservices deployed, and migrating applications to stackdriver logging.
