Marton Trencseni is a highly experienced and accomplished Data Science professional with 18+ years of relevant experience. Currently working as the Director of Data Science at Majid Al Futtaim (MAF), a Dubai-based holding company that owns shopping malls, hypermarkets, hotels, and other retail businesses across the Middle East, Marton is responsible for building out the data science culture and team, and delivering impact to all of MAF's businesses using data. Prior to joining MAF, Marton served as the Head of Data Science at Fetchr, where he saw 4x growth in topline metrics and built out Fetchr's Data Science culture from scratch. He put Machine Learning (ML) into production to handle order scheduling, automated much of the company's 1,000 person call center, and successfully lifted topline metrics through A/B testing. Marton's team also owned logistic modeling and planning, and he built extensive dashboarding for topline company metrics, delivery, warehousing, and cash operations using Scikit-learn for ML, Apache Airflow and Superset for ETL and dashboarding, backed by EMR/Presto on AWS. Before that, Marton worked as a Data Engineer at Facebook, where he saw 20x growth in topline metrics during his time working on Workplace, Facebook's social network product for companies. Marton holds a Ph.D. (unfinished) in Physics from Eötvös Loránd Tudományegyetem and has a strong technical skill set that includes Data Science, ML, AWS, Apache Airflow, Scikit, ETL, and Data Engineering.
