Mashrin Srivastava is a Data and Applied Scientist at Microsoft, with a focus on Machine Learning. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Machine Learning at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), where he is also working as a research assistant with the Delphi group. His research focuses on COVID-19 trends and impact, where his group works with Facebook to monitor the spread and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination. Before joining CMU, Mashrin worked as a Deep Learning Engineer for over 3.5 years in a highly selective innovation group at Intel, which works on the R&D of new product verticals at Intel. Mashrin was the core and founding team member of the AI/ML platform for Health AI product vertical and also built smart city and mobility products, which got adopted on population scale. Mashrin was awarded the Technologist of the year award at Intel for the year 2020, and he was part of the team which won the Project of the year award and the most innovative project award at Intel India. Mashrin has 10+ invention disclosures and multiple papers during his time at Intel, and he received 25+ recognition awards during his time at Intel. Mashrin's past experience includes working at Stanford Scholar Initiative as a Directly Responsible Individual, where he worked on the most influential papers from top conferences in AI. The role of DRI further includes the task of leading and managing the group along with contributing. He also worked as a University Teaching Assistant for Object-oriented programming language and Data structures and algorithm for the students enrolled in M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering at Vellore Institute of Technology.
