Masoud Tavazoei is a seasoned Software Engineer with over 9 years of experience in building data-driven products. Currently, he works at meta as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer. Masoud has extensive experience in designing and implementing big data platforms for large organizations. He has worked with companies like Verizon and Amex in the past, where he implemented end-to-end personalized recommendation engines using Pig, Hive, and Java Spring framework. At Verizon, Masoud was a Member of Technical Staff, where he designed and implemented a Universal Big Data Platform for all Amex employees. The platform provided services like data warehousing, supporting executing Pig and Hive scripts by Business analysts while enforcing access control, monitoring and alerting facilities for the administrators, and business intelligence dashboard. Masoud holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University, a Master of Science degree in Finance from Darla Moore School of Business, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Control from Sharif University of Technology.
