Mat Stankiewicz is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft with over 10 years of relevant experience. He has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Drexel University and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same university. Mat has a diverse skill set that includes software engineering, backend development, Android, infrastructure, integration, and UI. Mat's most recent work has been at Microsoft, where he has been instrumental in integrating the Office Store app submission pipeline into Microsoft Teams. He has also built a comprehensive library of themed controls for third-party app developers on Microsoft Teams and a suite of tools for them. Before joining Microsoft, Mat worked as a Senior Software Engineer at WideOrbit, where he was instrumental in creating the programmatic Broadcast TV, Cable, and Radio buying pipeline called WO Programmatic. He worked on designing and building the back-end and middle-tier stack of services that run the buyer experience for advertisers and agencies. The product won Best of Show at the National Association for Broadcasters 2015 conference. Mat was also responsible for deploying a monitoring solution (cacti) to maintain internal environments (CI & FI) and setting up internal tools and processes (code reviews, etc.) to increase collaboration and productivity. Mat has also worked as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon, where he was part of the core middleware UI team for the entire range of Amazon Android-based devices, including the Kindle Fires, Fire Phone, and Fire TV. He created controls (Android widgets) as well as several reusable utilities that get deployed to all of these devices. These widgets are utilized in most Amazon applications running on Amazon devices. Mat's experience in building complex systems from scratch and his ability to design and build back-end and middle-tier stack services make him a valuable asset to any team.
