Matko Zurak is an Engineering Manager with a passion for creating. He believes that creating is what drives us forward, whether it is a small garden in the backyard or a complex multi-service solution running on Kube. With over 5 years of relevant experience, Matko has worked with different companies and teams, leading a 20 people company, a 6-man remote team, and designing a full-fledged multi-service solution running on Kube. Currently, Matko works as an Engineering Manager at Coinledger, where he helps over 300k customers seamlessly integrate into Coinledger using OKR and 4DX methodology. His tech stack is based on .NET C# and microservice architecture. In his previous role as a Software Engineer at Coinledger, he worked with tax specialists to improve and upgrade the software experience for all current and upcoming users. Matko is also a Co-Founder and Engineering Manager at BrainIT d.o.o. The company develops top-graded software, and their philosophy is to "Think first, code later." With an emphasis on communication, their company processes are fluid and reliable, and they focus on the end goal while taking the immediate next step. Matko's education background includes a Master of Science in Computing from the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, and a Bachelor of Science in Computing from the same institution. He also participated in the Erasmus Exchange Program at AGH University of Science and Technology, where he studied Computer Engineering. Matko's tech stack includes Senior Software Engineer, Microservices, and Software Engineer. He approaches every problem he faces as a freshman, with no experience, and listens before speaking, absorbs, and makes a decision sooner rather than later. With a goal in sight, he takes one step at a time, no matter the task at hand.
