Matt is a skilled programmer who is proficient in various programming languages, including Java, Swift, C++, Python, and JavaScript. Before joining Google, Matt worked as a Software Engineer at Nordstrom and as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon. At Amazon, he was responsible for creating fully-native and hybrid mobile client applications for the Amazon Go retail store. He also created web services on Amazon's Java service platform and integrated them with Android and iOS client applications, as well as other Amazon services, including AWS, Retail, and other internal team services. Matt also created embedded device software in C++ and Python to facilitate hardware communication over USB and Serial interfaces, communicating from embedded devices to AWS and other Amazon services. Matt has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute at Hartford and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Hartford.
