Matt Strum is a Software Development Engineer with over 14 years of experience in the industry. Currently working with Amazon, he is helping to push forward the company's mission to become the most customer-centric company on Earth by bringing content that delights customers all around the world, regardless of their location or language. Matt is passionate about building the future and invites others to join him at amazon.jobs. In his current role, Matt is responsible for helping to delight customers by bringing content into their language, raising the quality bar, speed of access, and doing so in a cost-conscious manner. Prior to joining Amazon, Matt took a sabbatical and worked as a Software Engineer at Plaid. During his time at Plaid, he worked on bank integrations in a Typescript codebase and developed an Oauth flow with a financial institution using OFX for data transfer. Matt has a Master of Science degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering, both from the University of Utah. He also spent some time studying Computer Engineering at Seoul National University and Wright State University. His tech stack includes software engineering, testing, Typescript, AWS, frontend and backend development, ECS, Terraform, Docker, microservices, Flask, Postgres, Python, and AngularJS. Matt is a driven and passionate individual who is always looking to learn and grow. He is committed to building a better future through technology and is excited to be a part of the team at Amazon.
