Matthew Hardin is a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with over 19 years of experience in the technology industry. Currently, he is employed at Netflix as a Senior Software Engineer and is working on an internal developer productivity team. His role involves developing automation and tooling solutions to help Netflix developers innovate quickly and efficiently. Matthew has worked on various projects during his tenure at Netflix, including an in-house test result consumption application, a flaky test runner, and a custom implementation of a Selenium Grid auto-scaling solution. He has also rewritten a test account generation tool used across various UI teams, including TV, iOS, and Desktop. Prior to his current role, Matthew worked at RetailMeNot, Inc. as a Software Engineer II and later as a Senior Software Engineer in Test. During his time at RetailMeNot, he implemented an automation framework that allowed for automated tests to run in parallel via Selenium Grid through Amazon EC2 and locally hosted Mac minis. He also integrated Appium with their test automation framework, which allowed for both mobile browser and native app testing.
