Matthew Lydon is a highly motivated problem solver with a passion for building dynamic teams and effective collaborations. With over 5 years of relevant experience, he has established himself as a team leader for one of the Interface agile scrum teams at Applied Systems, where he is responsible for receiving policy, claims, e-documents, and processing this information automatically in Epic, which is Applied’s flagship, international product. As a Developer II at Applied Systems, Matthew has a proven track record of improving the overall quality of releases, reducing critical defects from 30 to 0, client-reported defects from above 300 to below 200, reducing the number of defects coming in per release by more than 50 percent, and closing out every client-reported defect from their 2018 release in 2019. He achieved this through a combination of increasing automated tests, automating large portions of regression, planning and implementing the use of user acceptance, scale, and performance testing for the end of a release. All while releasing new and powerful features for their clientele. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Northern Illinois University and a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is highly skilled in various tech stacks, including test automation, and is always looking to work with new technologies and people who share a powerful, well-executed vision.
