Matthew Marichiba is a software engineer and big-picture technologist with diverse business experience. He combines people skills, technical prowess, and organized management to get things done. His goals are to work with a team he loves, develop products that excite him and have a positive impact, and learn continuously. Matthew's specialties include Angular, Node.js, AWS, JavaScript/TypeScript, project & program management, team leadership, training and curriculum development, ed tech, and socially-responsible business. Currently, Matthew is a Software Engineer at Joby Aviation, where he enjoys helping Presidio MBA students while also deepening his understanding of Ecological Economics. He reads and grades industry analysis projects, economics homework, and tests. In the past, Matthew has worked for productOps, Inc. as a Software Engineer & Team Lead, where he worked on multi-million dollar projects. He has experience in Angular, Node.js, Javascript/Typescript, AWS architecture, Linux, AWS Aurora DB, ngrx/redux, Swagger/OpenAPI, Jenkins CI/CD, and has built ed-tech web apps and plugins based on Angular front-end and Node.js Express back-end. He has also led development, test and deployment efforts using Agile practices and daily scrum. Matthew has also worked for Looker Data Sciences as a Data Analyst Writer. He was the first person dedicated to managing product documentation, and he transformed Looker's user docs from a jumble of unmanaged, outdated pages into consistent, well-organized, and right-sized pages. He led live web-based training for data modeling basics with LookML. Matthew holds an MBA in Sustainable Management from Presidio School of Management, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical & Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota.
