Matthew's interest in technology began in 2012, during his fifth year of military service, when he encountered a limitation with one of the systems he was operating. A contractor who overheard him talking about the issue and happened to be the engineer that designed the system, walked over, asked a few questions, opened up a terminal, wrote a few lines of code, re-compiled it, and just like that - solved a huge problem that made all the difference in the world. This experience sparked Matthew's interest in technology and his desire to learn how to leverage it for good. Since then, Matthew has dedicated his time and energy to develop the skills and experience required to enable effective problem-solving. As the Founder of alignr, he is on a different kind of mission to enable others to do the same. Matthew has also worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Director of Software Engineering at ArcheMedX, Inc., where he has made significant contributions to the development of innovative products.
