Matthew Riley is a highly skilled Senior Front-End Engineer and UX Designer with over five years of experience in the ad-tech industry. He has a proven track record of creating user interfaces that are both visually appealing and highly functional. Matthew is a professional who thinks outside the box to construct the perfect interface for a client, or iterating upon a previous design to make it even better - then ensuring & assisting in a smooth development behind the scenes. Currently working as a Senior Front-End Engineer at knotch, Matthew has previously worked at knotch as a Front-End Software Engineer and at clypd, inc. as a Software Engineer. At clypd, he worked extensively on both the front-end design and implementation of features that allowed TV media partners to create extremely specific audience targets and expose their inventory for advertisers to purchase in real-time. During his time at clypd, Matthew helped shift the entire UI codebase from Ruby on Rails to a React/Redux stack, and led development on features such as an audience respondent list upload tool. He also led the UX design of some new features, such as a boolean logic tool to define a hyper-specific audience target from Nielsen household attributes. Matthew's responsibilities include API design, implementing core React and Redux patterns, heavy code refactoring, interactive wireframe sketching, and facilitating UX discussions between product, business, and engineering teams to come to a consensus on a design.
