Matthew Sneeden
About
Matthew Sneeden is an experienced developer with a passion for quality assurance, continuous integration, and automation. He is currently working as a Quality Assurance Engineer at The Beck Group, where he leads the testing efforts on a .NET Building Information Modeling (BIM) application using HP/Mercury Quality Center and QuickTest Professional. Matthew created the initial manual and automated test suite for an application with more than two years of development already in place, in preparation to begin selling their software commercially. He developed a QA process from the ground up and oversaw the creation and implementation of several testing standards. He worked closely with both software developers and user representatives to ensure that all requirements were met and discovered and isolated over 3000 defects, ensuring that each subsequent release was more stable and user-friendly than the last. Matthew has worked in various roles in the past, including as a Quality Assurance Specialist at Fellowship Technologies and a Lead Quality Assurance Analyst at Active Network. At Fellowship Technologies, he was tasked with researching, selecting, and deploying both functional and performance/load testing tools for a SaaS church management software suite. He created the initial functional testing framework utilizing a C# implementation of Selenium RC, Selenium Grid, and Gallio, and the initial load testing framework utilizing Multi-Mechanize. At Active Network, he was responsible for researching and implementing new testing technologies, mentoring fellow QA analysts in the areas of test automation best practices, and contributing to internal coding, design, and testing standards/documentation. He primarily focused on the architecture of a fully-automated continuous integration/deployment/testing/change management workflow using Jenkins, Git, MbUnit, Selenium, Sifter, and ServiceNow. He authored multiple internal applications, including a multi-threaded web load testing application and an MVC utility application used by the QA/DEV team to stage/clear test data and monitor services and test servers. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering. He has relevant experience of 17.20 years and has expertise in Software Engineering, Senior Software Engineering, QA, CI/CD, Integration, New Relic, and Test.
