Matthew Wagaman is a passionate Software Engineer based in Southern California with a career spanning 4.77 years. He discovered his love for coding at the age of 15 while making mods for the popular game Minecraft and has since grown into a full-fledged software engineer. Matthew has extensive experience in developing web applications with Python (Django, Celery), HTML, CSS, TypeScript (React), PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, and has also developed RESTful APIs with Django REST Framework. He has also assisted in building data pipelines using Apache Airflow for getting data from various ad platforms such as Google Ads and Microsoft Ads. Matthew has deployed applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) using App Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Load Balancers, and Compute Engine, and has used Git to maintain source control, and participated in code reviews. In the past, Matthew has worked as a Software Engineer Intern at F5 Web Development, where he created responsive, real-world full-stack applications for clients in an AGILE environment using React, Node, Express, and PostgreSQL. He has also worked as a Full Stack Engineer (Student) at Thinkful, where he designed and built full-stack applications applying best practices and clean-code principles. Matthew has completed his Software Engineering degree from Thinkful and holds a High School Diploma from Alessandro High School. He has a diverse tech stack that includes Django, Apache Airflow, SQL, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, RabbitMQ, MySQL, GCP, AWS, and more. Matthew is a quick learner and is consistently cramming more and more information in his head. He is a committed team player who has demonstrated industry best practices by writing clean and efficient code, using test-driven development, and participating in code reviews.
