Mauro Fanton is a seasoned Software Developer with over 20 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is currently working at Orchard Information Systems Limited as a Software Developer, where he is responsible for developing a Web Application hosted on IIS using a mixture of technologies such as Ruby on Rails, JavaScript, coffeeScripts, and SQL Anywhere. Prior to joining Orchard Information Systems Limited, Mauro worked at de la rue as a Software Engineer, where he was responsible for developing a Restful Web Application hosted on IIS using a mixture of technologies such as AngularsJs, Owin Web API, and SQL Server. He also introduced Test Driven Development to team members and reinforced coding standards. Mauro also worked at Foster Findlay Associated Ltd as a Senior Software Engineer, where he designed, developed, and tested tools in an Agile environment to process seismic data. He maintained source code to high standards and acted as Scrum Master, assuring teams' communication via scrum of scrum. He was also responsible for ensuring fortnight software release, training new staff, helping support with technical and license issues, and sharing best practice ideas and offering resolutions. Mauro was responsible for the build process within the development environment and designed, developed, and tested a tool for processing and analyzing seismic data using C++, wxWidget graphic tool, and Open Inventor visualization API. He also learned new technologies such as Ruby, Open Inventor for FEI, Ocean APIs for Petrel, and new methodologies such as Agile development (Scrum). Mauro holds a Diploma in Industrial Electronics Technology/Technician from I.T.I.S. F. Severi and a degree in Communication Skills in English from Newcastle College.
