Max Gasner is an entrepreneurial software-product crossover with deep experience in data and fintech. With a relevant experience of over 10 years, he is currently working as a Software Engineer at elementl, a venture-backed open-source data infrastructure startup, where he was the first employee. He has worked on several core abstractions, integrations, CI/test, releng, deploy, demos, frontend, auth, and docs. He has also been responsible for architecture for commercial product, founding sales, sales engineering, recruiting, content marketing, diversity & inclusion. Before joining elementl, Max has worked as a Contract Product & Engineering Manager for an open-source data tools startup, where he developed the MVP. He has also worked as a Cofounder at bee (one financial), a low-income focused neobank with in-person customer acquisition. Max was responsible for signing partners and leading technical delivery for integrations, infrastructure, and cross-platform customer and sales mobile apps. He has also built & managed engineering, product, and design teams. Max has a Bachelor of Arts degree in South Asian Languages and Civilizations from the University of Chicago, and he has also studied Liberal Arts at Deep Springs College. He completed his high school education from Stuyvesant High School. Max has a wide range of technical skills, including software engineering, AWS, infra, Jupyter, Apache Airflow, test, Python, Kubernetes, Typescript, GCP, Frontend, Research Scientist, product designer, Docker, Mobile, Data Engineering, and Java. Max is currently hiring for developer relations and product roles, and he values collegial, collaborative, execution-focused environments.
