He was also a core contributor to search services (elasticsearch) and responsible for indexing and serving large quantities of metadata from primary datastore (cassandra) for flexible and fast querying. Max personally led initiatives to introduce industry best standards to Crux. Before Crux Informatics, Max worked as a Senior Software Engineer at OpenTable, where he was one of four members on the search team. He was the primary architect of the initial implementation of middle tier search API, responsible for aggregating and caching services necessary for serving search results. He was also the primary maintainer of both front-end autocomplete library and middle-tier autocomplete endpoints. Max frequently ran A/B test experiments, resulting in significant conversion and revenue growth. Max holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Physics from Reed College.
