Max Herzig is an experienced software engineer, technical leader, and cloud architect with over 14 years of relevant experience. He is currently working as a Staff Software Engineer at Pathstream where he focuses on security, privacy, and performance. Max is a highly skilled professional with deep knowledge in full stack software engineering practices and standards, cloud architecture, networking, and database administration. Max has worked for several reputable companies in the past, including BitTitan and Committee for Children, where he held the positions of Staff Cloud Architect and Principal Software Engineer, respectively. At BitTitan, Max helped modernize the existing platform by working with multiple teams across Engineering and DevOps to improve performance and provide guidance in reducing existing debt. At Committee for Children, Max was hired to help lead the conversion of an existing SaaS application onto a new, greenfield platform. Over the last few years, he has directly led multiple teams across different phases of the project, with 10+ engineers reporting to him, most of whom he directly hired. Max has a Bachelor of Science degree in Data Management & Data Analytics from WGU Washington, an Associate of Science degree in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia from Full Sail University, and an Associate of Arts degree from Edmonds Community College.
