Max Mitchell is a student, teaching fellow, and game developer with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tufts University. With 0.36 years of relevant experience, he has worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Ocient, where he reported and resolved issues relating to command compiler for OcientSQL, implemented and tested new geospatial library functions, and optimized existing code with VTune. He has also improved syntax error reporting in ANTLR error strategy and expanded constructor capabilities for base types. Previously, Max worked as a Teaching Fellow at Tufts University, where he managed recitation materials and guided fellow instructors in how to best teach recitations. He co-managed course unit testing infrastructure to grade weekly assignments on functional correctness and taught both CS15 (Data Structures) and CS105 (Programming Languages). He has also worked as an Instructor at ID Tech Camps, where he instructed students in daily, two-hour courses on material ranging from coding basics to machine learning, cryptography, and game development. Max has a strong technical skill set, including expertise in software engineering, machine learning, test, and infra. He has been featured in publications such as Alphabetagamer and TheGamer for his work as a game developer, including his indie game "A Feast for Geese" which he developed during a game jam. Max is a driven and passionate individual who is always looking for new opportunities to learn and grow. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor's degree and is expected to graduate in 2023.
