Maxime Bury is a highly skilled Software Engineer with over 9 years of experience in the tech industry. Currently, he is working as a Software Development Engineer (L5) at Amazon Web Services (AWS) where he is responsible for developing and maintaining web applications. Before joining Amazon, Maxime co-founded Liquor Store Tech, where he gained valuable experience in entrepreneurship and leadership. He also worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer and Tech Lead at Originate, where he played a crucial role in developing a platform that enables enterprises to build, deploy, and monitor end-to-end AI solutions. During his time at Originate, he wrote custom tooling in Go to automate provisioning, configuring, and updating Kubernetes clusters on AWS using Terraform, Packer, and kops. He also led the port of the entire stack to Azure leveraging AKS and set up and maintained IaC automation for core infrastructure components such as Ingress stack using NGINX Ingress, external-dns, and cert-manager, per-pod IAM permissions using kube2iam/aad-pod-identity, secrets management using Vault, and monitoring stack using Consul, node_exporter, Prometheus, Grafana, and Alertmanager. Maxime holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Polytech'Nantes and was an exchange student at Carnegie Mellon University, where he studied Computer Science.
