Mayank Agrawal is a Principal Engineer at Oracle Cloud with a passion for Mathematics and developing optimized algorithms for better software performance. Currently, Mayank is a Senior Software Engineer 2 at MakeMyTrip, where he designed and built a product called Flyfish from scratch. Flyfish collects customer feedback and uses a rule engine-based system to personalize feedback questions based on user behavior and booking specifications. Mayank also utilized NLP and machine learning algorithms to auto-correct textual reviews and extract tags and sentiments from text. Additionally, he designed and developed a low-latency, high-availability system to serve user content to other services, such as the ranking team and hotel website. Prior to his current role, Mayank worked as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs, where he implemented new features and maintained the Equities Trading Backend Application. He also interacted frequently with different business desks across Goldman Sachs and gained an in-depth understanding of different business flows, including algo trading flow, low-touch flow, and high-touch flow. Mayank's previous experience also includes working as an R&D Engineer at Next Education India Pvt Ltd. Here, he developed algorithms for predicting the actual intelligence of students using item response theory, implemented probabilistic graphical models for predicting students' learning paths, and used different ML algorithms for clustering students and giving recommendations. He also built a generic notification and communication system that can handle large data and assist other software of the company to be more efficient. Mayank holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur.
