Mayank Garg is a seasoned Software Engineer with over 11 years of experience in the industry. Currently, he is an Intern at Vihaan Networks, where he developed an RF planning tool that assists the marketing and RF Planning team in deciding on tower site locations. He incorporated the specifications of various BSC and BTS towers offered by Vihaan Networks Limited into the application, using Javascript and Google Maps API. Prior to his current role, Mayank worked as an Intern at IBM Research - India, where he worked on an online distributed scheduler that scheduled parallel processes on a multi-core cluster architecture. He implemented Kmeans, Molecular Dynamics, and Cholesky kernels on this scheduler and compared its performance with fully exposed MPI and Pthread code written in C. Mayank's most significant experience comes from his time at Meta, where he worked as a Software Engineer and Technical Lead for five years. He was responsible for building Meta's Analytics Infrastructure stack over the years and is currently working on the open-source project PrestoDB. Mayank has fostered strong cross-team relationships to ensure that the team is hitting the high-level organizational goals of Data Infrastructure. Mayank holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. He also attended Delhi Public School for his secondary education. His technical skills include Software Engineering, Infra, Senior Software Engineering, and Javascript.
