Mayank Gupta is a Senior Software Engineer at Shoptrue with expertise in Data Analytics, Machine Learning, and Full Stack development. He has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and is currently pursuing an MSc in Financial Engineering from Worldquant University. Mayank's passion for coding started during his college days and was further fueled by his selection and completion of Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2017 with CCExtractor. This experience helped him understand the real-world challenges of delivering quality software within tight deadlines. Today, he is a Tech Lead at Cyber Group, where he not only codes and maintains software but also manages a team of junior engineers and helps them grow. Apart from his full-time role, Mayank is also a part-time stock trader and algo trader. He has developed a few algorithms for automated trading and realized that the stock market is a whole different world for a software developer and a data scientist. This interest in finance and data science led him to pursue an MSc in Financial Engineering. Mayank has worked on various projects during his career, including writing data ingestion services from scratch in Azure function apps, enhancing dashboard for predictive insights in React.js, developing custom widgets for drag and drop editable dashboard in Angular 8 and D3.js, and writing data cleaning and machine learning model creation scripts for prediction of commission in an MLM based company. He has also managed and reviewed other associate software engineers in his team and owned support and enhancement for the Energy Domain Email campaign project in .NET and Exacttarget.
