Mayank Kapoor is a seasoned Product and Technology Leader with over 16 years of experience. He is a Kubernetes/Helm contributor, speaker, and an ex-IIT, MIT, Apple, and Amazon employee. Currently, he is the VP of Engineering at CarDekho, where he leads the development of cutting-edge products and services. Mayank has a strong track record of building and scaling cloud-based products and platforms. In his previous role as the VP of Engineering at Jio, he led the development of cloud consumer products, services, and cloud platforms. He was responsible for engineering, QA, DevOps, and product management. During his tenure, he built mobile apps that have together 50M+ downloads and 10M+ MAUs. He also built internal cloud platforms that reached 100K+ CPU cores, with 4000+ bare metals spread across 3 regions and 8 DCs, and used by 40+ teams across RIL & Jio. Prior to Jio, Mayank worked as an Advanced Engineering Manager at Apple, where he engineered solutions (hardware and software) for iPhones and iPads. He has also worked at Amazon, where he led the development of mobile products and services. Mayank is a senior software engineer with expertise in Kubernetes, QA, product management, DevOps, and mobile development. He holds an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed his schooling at Campion School, Bhopal. Mayank is a prolific writer and shares his thoughts on his Medium blog.
