Mayank Sahu is a skilled Software Engineer with a passion for improving teaching and learning practices through the use of emerging technologies and data mining techniques. He is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Education Technology at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Mayank's current role is as a Software Developer at Purple Tutor, where he has been involved in several key projects. He has worked on the Adaptation Logic, which adapts based on a student's previous knowledge, interest, and ability level in the domain of computational thinking. He has also collaborated with the UI/UX design team to improve existing applications and increase conversion rates. Additionally, he has experience writing parsers, creating APIs for CRUD operations, and integrating 3rd party APIs using NodeJS. He has even designed a graph database using Neo4j and used GrapheneDB for hosting. Mayank's skill set includes HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, and he has a strong background in SQL. Prior to joining Purple Tutor, Mayank worked as a Student Companion at the Institute Student Companion Programme ISCP, where he worked in a team of 160+ students to provide support in various academic and non-academic areas to new entrants during the pandemic situation. He also gained valuable experience as a Summer Intern at Next Education India Pvt Ltd. Mayank holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Rustamji Institute of Technology, Border Security Force (BSF) Academy, Tekanpur, Gwalior 474005, and is set to complete his Master's degree in Education Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in 2021.
