Mayur Rustagi is a highly skilled and experienced Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder of Sigmoid. With over 13 years of relevant experience, he has expertise in building end-to-end architecture for big data applications. Mayur has built scalable big data systems from scratch, including handling data from multiple structured/unstructured sources, web crawling, searching, and reporting. He has contributed to several open-source projects, including Apache Pig, Apache Spark, Android x86, and V8 for over 10 years. Mayur is passionate about challenging himself, being around smart people, and learning from them. He is part of a team of 200+ passionate data engineers and data scientists working across sectors, helping Fortune 500 businesses tangibly increase revenue and reduce overhead by analyzing their data better. The systems they have built have processed over 10 PB of data to date and continue to help their customers take mission-critical decisions on a daily basis. As the CTO and Co-Founder of Sigmoid, Mayur helps Fortune 500 companies become more efficient by targeting the right customers and planning their operations better by leveraging data. They have worked across Retail, CPG, Banking & Financial Services, Hi-Tech, Gaming & Adtech to build data pipelines that can help businesses take critical decisions and view the metrics that matter, when they matter. Sigmoid also provides an enterprise-ready big data platform, which is 10x more efficient than existing warehouses and reduces time to insight by 30x for users. Mayur's past experience includes working for Adobe as a Developer, where he led a cross-geo team of individual contributors delivering on Big Data infrastructure and solutions to Consumer Analytics division of Adobe. He delivered a Batch Data Platform based on Apache Hadoop, Apache Pig, and Hive. He also built a real-time processing platform for evaluating machine learning models and rules against interaction data for end-users currently interacting with client systems. Mayur has a Master of Technology (MTech) in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Science from IIT Kharagpur. He also has an AISSCE (Class/Grade 12) in Science from Delhi Public School.
