Mazhar Shaikh is a Researcher with a passion for Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence research. He is currently working at コネクトーム・デザイン株式会社/connectome.design as a Researcher. With over 5 years of relevant experience, Mazhar has a proven track record in the field of AI and ML. Prior to his current role, Mazhar worked as an R&D Engineer at photogauge, where he headed the Machine Learning team comprising of four machine learning engineers. He supervised five projects to create visual defect detection systems for manufacturing companies and led the creation of an automated object detection framework utilizing purely synthetic data generated from 3D models and deployed it on real-world, noisy, highly entropic environments, achieving an mAP of 0.98@IoU of 0.95. He also led research efforts in lifelong learning for smarter AI systems. Mazhar's previous experience includes a summer internship at ABB, where he worked on Gas Chromatography Analytics. He holds a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) and Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in Automotive Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. He also attended Cambridge School from 1997 to 2011. Mazhar's tech stack includes Research Scientist, ML, Object Detection, AI, and Object Detection. He is a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic. Mazhar is always seeking new challenges and opportunities to expand his knowledge and skills in the field of AI and ML.
