Meenakshi Mahendran is an enthusiastic IT Professional with 8.95 years of experience in the industry. She is currently working as an Engineer I at American Express. Meenakshi is always looking forward to working in a creative and innovative environment and learning a lot of new trends and technologies. In her previous role as a Software Engineer at NielsenIQ, Meenakshi worked on their web application called Connect Express, which provides insights to Retailers and Manufacturers about how well their products are doing in the market. She used the Struts framework using Java in the business logic layer, Kawa framework as ORM framework and PL/SQL scripts and Oracle dB server in the persistence layer. Meenakshi was mainly involved in the Java Struts and PL/SQL layer of the application. She was also actively involved in migrating the legacy application from Struts framework to Sprint Boot framework and Hibernate in Java. This also uses Lombok for generating boilerplate codes, and JUnit and Mockito for writing unit test classes. Meenakshi was also involved in Peer Reviews and mentoring junior developers. Meenakshi has also worked as a Java Programmer AWF for PayPal, with the parent payroll company as Prospance Infotech. This involved working on PayPal’s Risk Limitations platform, using C++ and Java, and demanded a lot of problem-solving skills to provide efficient code. She worked on creating new user Limitations types (which included creating new alerts and email notifications for those limitations, using C++), and also loading new user limitations batch processes which used Shell scripts, SCM (a Case Management tool) which is Java based, using Spring framework. She had also been involved in the Risk Limitations platform migration from their legacy C++ code to the new Java platform using Spring and MicroServices. The software development model followed is Agile Software Development – Scrum methodology. Working here has also helped her understand about Git, which is used as a distributed version control system. Meenakshi holds a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from SKR Engineering College. She also has a High School degree in Computer Science from Chinmaya Vidyalaya Taylor's Road and another High School degree in Computer Science from Chinmaya Vidyalaya Anna Nagar.
