Meet Sanghvi is a Test Engineer at Tesla with over 3 years of relevant experience in the field. He holds an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from L.D. College of Engineering. Meet is passionate about building innovative, cost-effective, and efficient designs and seeing them take shape from their inception. He has extensive experience in creating such designs, developing them using prototyping methodologies, performing validation studies, and troubleshooting them using various methodologies. During his past internship at Volvo and academic project experiences, Meet's role ranged from need identification, design conception, test fixture designing/test planning, CAD modeling, performing FEA simulations, executing statistical analysis, material, and manufacturing process selection, and hands-on fabrication to build the prototype. He has worked on all sorts of projects from building autonomous badminton playing robots to designing/developing automobile components and potential savings thousands of dollars. Meet has honed and acquired technical and software skills such as ANSY Y14.5, ASME Y14.5, ISO 9001, PTC Creo/Pro-E, SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, AutoCAD, MATLAB, R, SAS, Minitab, JMP, C/C++, Python, Julia, ANSYS, MSC Adams, GT-suite, and Abaqus. At Tesla, Meet is responsible for executing durability testing and validation activity with a focus on interior components such as instrument panels, center consoles, hard and soft trims, electromechanical devices, cross car beams, etc. He is also designing and developing custom test equipment and fixtures to make validation efficient, modular, and repeatable. Meet works closely with cross-functional teams such as design partners, failure analysis lab, reliability team, materials team to ensure test findings are quickly communicated and test failures are identified and root caused to arrive at a corrective action. He is also developing advanced automated test suites using custom hardware in the loop testers to automate testing and efficient data collection/data analysis. Meet's past experiences include working as a Co-Op Base Engine Component Engineer (Mechanical Design Engineer) at Volvo and as a Graduate Research Assistant at Computational Design Lab at Texas A&M University. At Volvo, he defined and coordinated component-specific tests to execute systematic root cause analysis (RCAs) and design failure and effect mode analysis (DFMEA).
