Meghana Kumar is an accomplished Machine Learning Engineer and Data Scientist with a passion for Artificial Intelligence. She is currently pursuing her MSc in Artificial Intelligence at King's College London, building on her undergraduate degree in Computer Science and Physics from BITS Pilani. Meghana has gained extensive experience in the field of Machine Learning, having worked as a Machine Learning Engineer and Data Scientist at Remedico. During her time there, she spearheaded multiple projects and was involved in critical decision-making for the company's Machine Learning and Data Science applications. She also took the lead on algorithm design and full implementation of automatic allocation of doctors to new patients by optimizing compatibility scores designed from several features using Minimum Weight Bipartite Matching. Prior to this, Meghana worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Graz University of Technology, where she was mentored by Dr. Horst Bischof, Lead, Learning Recognition Surveillance Lab. She worked on part of a pipeline for 3D-Scene Understanding for Localization and Classification for Autonomous Vehicles, improving instance segmentation for autonomous driving by conducting conceptually-driven experiments. She also used additional channels of intensity and depth to exploit complementary information against RGB channels and fused them together to boost the efficiency of the model. Meghana is highly skilled in ML, Data Science, Research Science, Object Detection, OpenCV, Tensorflow, and Pytorch. She thrives best in dynamic problem-solving environments that encourage taking initiative and have a steep learning curve. Her relevant experience in the field of Machine Learning is 2.70 years. Meghana's education history includes a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from King's College London, a BE in Computer Science (Hons) and Msc in Physics (Hons) from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, and a High School degree from Deeksha Integrated, Mysore. She also attended elementary school at St. Joseph's Central School in Mysore.
