Meghana Balarama is a highly skilled and motivated individual with a passion for machine learning and computer graphics. She is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, with a specialization in Machine Learning. Meghana has approximately 3 years of experience in computer graphics and applying machine learning techniques to computer graphics and rendering. Her research interests lie at the intersection of vision, graphics, and deep learning. She is interested in understanding how unsupervised and self-supervised 3D scene understanding and 3D representations can help achieve common sense knowledge and reasoning in vision, which can help AI agents generalize to unseen environments and domains with less data. Meghana is actively looking for full-time positions as a Software Engineer or Machine Learning Engineer, starting December 2022. Currently, Meghana is working as a GPU Architecture Intern at Apple, where she is developing deep learning-based denoisers for path tracers. She has also worked as a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, where she worked on large-scale 3D scene reconstruction for AR/VR. Additionally, Meghana has worked as an AI Resident at Common Sense Machines, where she focused on synthetic photorealistic rendering generation for large-scale intelligent simulation and one-shot 3D perception and manipulation of everyday objects. Meghana's education history includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communication Engineering from B.M.S. College of Engineering and a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. Her technical skills include deep learning, machine learning, AI, research scientist, and software engineer. Meghana has approximately 2.53 years of relevant experience.
