Meha Kaushik is a Software Engineer II with Azure CosmosDB at Microsoft in Seattle. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and a Master's degree by Research from IIIT-Hyderabad. Her research interests include Continuous control based Reinforcement Learning and applied RL particularly for simulators. During her Masters, she focused on learning behaviors for simulated vehicles using Deep Reinforcement Learning and maintains an open-source RL simulator called MADRaS. Meha is also a mentor for entry-level software engineers, especially women, as well as Masters researchers both at Microsoft and IIIT-Hyderabad. She believes that Computer Science has the ability to empower businesses and humans. She enjoys writing software for Machine Learning. Currently, Meha is working as a Mentor with AnitaB Organization at Google Code. In the past, she has worked with the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology as a Mentor for Google Summer of Code and Google Code In. She also worked on a project called Rat Spy, an intelligent rat trap monitoring system, during her summer internship. Her role involved monitoring the intelligent rat trap and applying Computer Vision Techniques to calculate the decrease of bait as time goes. She implemented the complete algorithm on a Raspberry Pi using OpenCV and C plus plus. Meha's TechStack includes Software Engineering, Azure, Reinforcement Learning, Research Scientist, and Machine Learning. With over 7 years of relevant experience, Meha is a skilled Software Engineer and Researcher with a passion for empowering others in the field.
