Mehul Devrani is a Data Scientist at Morningstar with a passion for Robotics and Machine Learning. He completed his Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from SRM University in 2014. After graduation, he started his career as a Software Engineer Intern at Morningstar, where he worked on developing software applications. He then moved on to become an Associate Data Engineer, where he gained experience in data engineering and data analysis. Mehul's interest in Machine Learning led him to pursue a Post Graduate Program in Data Science, Business Analytics, and Big Data from Aegis School of Business, Data Science, Cyber Security, and Telecommunication. During his program, he focused on learning about Machine Learning, Recommender Systems, Python, Statistics, NLP, and Probabilistic Theory. Mehul's capstone project during his program was focused on Reinforcement Learning, where he simulated a bot to go to a defined position without feeding the bot any information about the distance or angle of the goal. Instead, he created rewards for the bot, which was operated by the output of a deep learning model. This project showcased his expertise in Reinforcement Learning and Deep Learning. Currently, as a Data Scientist at Morningstar, Mehul is responsible for developing and implementing Machine Learning models to solve business problems. He has a solid understanding of Data Science, Research Science, Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, Data Engineering, and Software Engineering. With 3.61 years of relevant experience, Mehul is a skilled and knowledgeable Data Scientist who is always eager to learn and explore new technologies.
