Mehul Shah is a seasoned entrepreneur and technology leader with over 22 years of relevant experience in the industry. He is currently serving as a Venture Partner at Pioneer Fund, where he is responsible for identifying and investing in early-stage startups with disruptive ideas. Prior to this, Mehul was the Co-founder and CTO of Blueshift, a SaaS company that is revolutionizing AI-powered customer engagement. At Blueshift, he led the development of a platform that uses big data and machine learning to automate recommendations and triggers across all marketing channels, including email, mobile, websites, and display. The company has raised over $65 million from top investors like Storm Ventures, Nexus Venture Partners, and SoftBank, and has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing companies in North America by Deloitte. Before Blueshift, Mehul co-founded and served as the CTO of Mertado, a social commerce platform that was acquired by Groupon to become Groupon Goods. Post-acquisition, he led the product and platform for the Goods business, which grew to over $1 billion in gross merchandise value within 18 months. Mehul started his career as an early employee at Kosmix, a social media startup that was acquired by Walmart to become @WalmartLabs. He holds an MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology. He has also completed the Y Combinator program. Mehul is a tech enthusiast and has expertise in AI, big data, machine learning, mobile, and product management. He is passionate about making AI accessible to marketers and helping startups succeed.
