With over 20 years of relevant experience, Mekin has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the areas of entrepreneurship, social change, and technology. As the Co-Founder of Social Change at act grants, Mekin is dedicated to creating positive impact at scale by supporting social entrepreneurs and change-makers. Prior to this, he co-founded the Global Alliance for Mass Entrepreneurship (GAME), an organization focused on enabling local entrepreneurs to create jobs and solve local needs. Mekin also founded Udhyam.org, an organization that empowers grassroots entrepreneurship through multiple experiments. Mekin's passion for entrepreneurship and social change is rooted in his belief that everyone has the potential to make the world a better place. He is an eternal optimist who is illogically romantic about India and its potential for positive change. Mekin is also a lifelong learner who is curious about life, business, and people. He loves understanding the WHYs behind things and is always happy to experiment. As an engineer at heart, Mekin is particularly interested in using technology to solve problems and drive social change. Mekin's educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University and PES, as well as studies at Loyola, Jamshedpur.
