Melissa Rauch is a software engineer at Curai with a background in midwifery. She is passionate about leveraging her experience in healthcare and her aptitude for technology to create meaningful change and make a positive impact on the world we live in. Melissa is most interested in joining the team of a mission-driven organization that is working to revolutionize systems, promote equity and equality through technology. Melissa has experience working as a software engineer intern at Curai and as a teaching assistant at Hackbright Academy, where she guided students through pair programming to learn Python, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Flask & SQL. She conducted frequent code reviews of student code during lab exercises and on individual projects, assessed and provided feedback on student skills assessments, and supervised advisees through the planning, scoping, and implementation of capstone projects. She also ran daily scrum meetings. Melissa holds a degree in Software Engineering and Full Stack Web Development from Hackbright Academy, a degree in Midwifery from Birthingway College of Midwifery, and a Bachelor's degree in Women's Studies and Psychology from Eastern Michigan University. She has a strong technical background and is proficient in software engineering, SQL, Python, Javascript, and Flask. Melissa has 8.86 years of relevant experience and is committed to making a difference in the healthcare industry through technology. She is a dedicated team player who is always looking for ways to improve processes and create innovative solutions. Melissa is an excellent communicator and collaborator and is passionate about working with like-minded individuals to achieve a common goal.
