Mert Kahraman is a self-taught software engineer with a background in product and design. With a passion for continuous learning, he aims to add experiences from various disciplines to his programming toolkit. Currently working at Twitter, Mert is focused on observing, learning, and experimenting with various ways a business operates, particularly in AdTech and mobile gaming industries. Mert's journey began by co-founding Kitre, a lightweight design agency, where he realized the power of design thinking and the importance of understanding the target audience's needs. He then gained experience in the e-commerce sector and managed a company during his tenure with Essenso USA. Later, Mert switched gears to become a full-time developer, studying the complete Techdegree in iOS & Android at TeamTreehouse and Stanford University CS web-courses. Mert's experience widened with mobile gaming scene, specifically on Unity game development environment, and he currently works as a client-facing engineer in Twitter London. He works on Android, iOS, and Unity each day, diving deep on development and maintenance of an open-source ad tech SDK and its adapters with network partners. Mert's past experiences include founding and being the head designer at Kitre, and working as a mobile application developer at Paraşut, where he gained experience in development, management, and maintenance of Parasut Mobile App products on iOS & Android platforms. Mert holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration and Management from New York University, a Tech Degree in iOS Development from TeamTreehouse, and a degree in Industrial Engineering from Koç University, among other educational qualifications. Mert's tech stack includes Android, Software Engineering, Mobile, iOS, Frontend, Web, and test. With 7.28 years of relevant experience, Mert is a lifelong student of programming, constantly seeking to add to his toolset and learn from the finest of the industry.
