Mert Toka is a highly motivated and skilled Graduate Student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a passion for Media Arts and Technology. He is currently working as a Teaching Assistant for the MAT276N (Modular Synthesis) course under the supervision of Curtis Roads. Mert is an expert in Direct Digital Synthesis and has previously worked as a Teaching Assistant for MAT276IA under the supervision of JoAnn Kuchera-Morin. Mert has also worked as a Curator for the Media Arts and Technology at UCSB, where he led the organization of the End of the Year Show 2017 (re-habituation) in CNSI and SBCAST. The exhibition was a great success, with over 1000 people visiting in two days. Mert's design work for the exhibition can be seen on his Behance page. Mert's educational background is impressive, with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Sabancı Üniversitesi and a Master of Science in Media Arts and Technology from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Media Arts and Technology at UCSB, which he expects to complete in 2023. Mert's technical skills include expertise in dotNET, and he has 5.86 years of relevant experience. He is a quick learner and is always looking to expand his knowledge and skills in the field of Media Arts and Technology. Mert is a team player and has excellent communication skills, making him an asset to any team.
